Water bottles by Tacx in 7 steps
How is a water bottle made?
1 A client orders water bottles. He'll choose colour, model, size and possibly his own printing. In Tacx' production facility, in Wassenaar, we will find the right colour for the order. We use dye granules for this.
2 An inflating machine sucks up the plastic that the water bottles are made from. Dye is added during this process. The material is then heated to about 180 degrees Celsius.
3 The machine stretches this heated plastic into a tube like structure. This serpentine structure is inflated with air until the plastic inside the mould has been shaped into a water bottle. After the cooling down with water the excess material is cut away at the top and bottom.
4 The machine then puts the water bottles on the conveyor belt one by one. Then a blowing mechanism is used to check if the water bottles are water tight.
6 Tacx employees manually install the caps and pull spouts on the water bottles.
7 The water bottles are delivered to the client through Bottle Promotions.
