Artwork
The printing of plastic water bottles is precision work. Differences in temperature during production and the water bottle's conical shape are of influence on the dovetailing of the print. Good artwork is essential if you wish to get a nice print. The better the artwork is, the better the result will be.
The Bottle Promotions team will gladly give you advice on delivery of your material that will guarantee optimal print work. At your request Bottle Promotions will take care of the entire design process. Before the water bottle goes into production you will receive a visual with all the relevant data so you can check everything.
Specifications for sending us digital artwork
By e-mail, preferably up to 10 MB, otherwise send ZIP or CD-Rom Adobe illustrator 8.0 or higher (eps or vector ai file) Adobe Photoshop 5.0 or higher or Adobe in-Design (only for photos)
Print format 500cc and 750cc water bottle: 235,5 x 100 mm; top brim 750cc: water bottle 235,5 x 22 mm. Distance between bottom and top brim 750cc: 95 mm (c-c)
PMS colour print
Please make up the design in PMS colours, not CMYK colours. Always mention PMS colours separately.
Full colour print
Full colour designs may be supported by a PMS colour for texts for example. By using screens text inside full colour designs may end up out of focus. Ask us for advice on how to build up your design before you start. Adding an extra colour changes pricing of course.
Overlapping several print colours
In view of material tolerance you need to account for a 0.5 mm overlap in places where colours are touching each other. This is to avoid "gaps" from occurring between colours. In case of white under print, the white film is to be reduced by 0,5 mm.
Printing on coloured and transparent water bottles
In order to obtain the desired PMS colours it is necessary to print on a white background. This is why one-off extra start-up costs are invoiced. If white is one of the colours in the design, it may be used as background (at no extra cost). For a silver coloured water bottle this is not necessary.
Fonts
Mac users: put the letter type in outline and send us the font. PC users: always change letters in outline.
